Eating Honey

After out trip to Mossop's Honey Farm we wanted to say a huge thank you for such a superb trip. Therefore we decided instead of writing thank you letters we thought that we would send the amazing stories that we wrote as a result of our experience. Mrs Styles found it hard to select just a few because the writing standard was so high but here are some pieces of quality writing.

Mossops Honey Trip
Cheerfully Mrs Styles called out who was going in my car and some other parents. Mrs Styles was nice and clear as she read. In my car I had Sarah, Kurtis and Jack. After she finished we walked outside to find my kind mum. When we found her we walked out of cool school and ran alongside the green fence. Then we saw my mum’s red car. I let Kurtis sit in the front. I sat in the middle and Jack sat on the right and Sarah was by me. We got our black stretchy seat belts on and started our journey to Mossop’s Honey Farm. Jack started telling some jokes. They were really funny and we kept on laughing. then we had a big breathe but before we could finish it we burst out laughing. I said to my mum “could you turn up the radio?” She said yes. But as she turned it up there was a really funny song. Then we burst out laughing and laughing. As we stopped mum drove into a park. We were at Mossop’s Honey Farm. We unbuckled our seat belts and ran to the shop. I settled down on a blue chair to wait for Mrs Styles to arrive. It was a minute before she came but then we saw her car come up and park right in front of us. She came up and said “let’s taste some honey.” We walked up and opened the door and I ran straight in front of her. There was a kind lady and she said “follow me”. So we followed the kind lady to the bee room. We sat down on the hard floor. She said “do you want to look at the bees?” My whole class said “yes.” So we looked at the bees but I couldn’t find the queen bee. It didn’t matter. Suddenly the kind lady said “who wants to try some honey?” I said me. I was the seventh round of people to try the honey. The chocolate one was my favorite. But suddenly it was time to go. What a good time we had.

School Trip
Happily on Thursday Mrs Styles put us into our groups. Suddenly Mrs Styles said Finlay you can go with Joe in his car. So we got in our lines and Mrs Styles took us outside to go with the parents who were waiting for us. Then we set off to Mossop Honey for our exciting adventure. We finally got there. The lady said come in and she took us into the bee room and we had a look at the hive. Then we asked some questions. Then it was time to taste some honey. We had chocolate honey and it was yummy. Then we had a look around the shop. It was about time for us to go back to school when the lady said you can have a piece of fudge when you go out. So I got a piece and then we had a look at the front of the hive. Then we went back to school for morning tea.

Mossop’s Honey Farm
Excitedly on a windy morning the Room Fifteen Dream Team went to the toilets quickly before we started our adventure to Mossop’s Honey Farm. Mrs Styles got us into our groups and she let us off. We started our engine before everybody else and we were the first ones there. We waited for the other boys and girls. Mrs Styles told us to line up and she went to the front of the line. She started to walk to the honey shop. The lady took us into the bee cupboard. We saw thousands of bees. The lady asked us questions and we told her answers. Then she said “do you want to try some honey?” and we all said yes. She took me, Ronin, Joe, Greer B and Sam. My favourite was chocolate honey.

Mossop’s Honey
Suddenly the Room Fifteen Dream Team organised the groups to go to Mossop’s Honey Shop. As we drove across the bumpy road me, Angus, Toby and Mat chatted on the journey. Finally we were there. We walked through the amazing shop into the small room of bees. The lady said sit down. So we did and she talked about the bees. Then it was honey tasting time. There was chocolate honey, wax honey and normal honey. The chocolate honey was the best. What a great morning.

Mossop’s Honey Shop
Happily nice Mrs Styles said the me and cool Finlay were going with nice Toni my mum. Me, cool Finlay and nice mum jumped into the car. We listened to the quiet radio. Suddenly I shouted “Mum-Mum there’s the big Mossop’s Honey Shop sign.” We parked the silver car and jumped out. Then nice Mrs Styles and funny Miss Garner jumped out and took us inside. We all went to see all of the bees. Then it was tasting time. When it was my turn I tasted three of them. My favourite one was the chocolate one. Then me and Finlay asked my nice mum if we could get some chocolate honey. Mum said “OK.’ Then it was time to leave. When we got back I said “BYE, BYe “ to my mum. What a fun day. Suddenly me and Finlay saw Mrs Styles wheeling the green C.O.W and she was coming into our class. What a fun day.

Mossop’s Honey Farm
Happily on Thursday Mrs Styles put us in our groups. Greer A’s mum was our mum. We listened to music and it was cool music. When we got there we went in a room full of bees. I was trying to find the Queen bee but I didn’t. We learnt a lot there. I tasted some honey. I liked the chocolate one a lot like the other people. Then we went outside. There was all the pushed out bees. I was quite sad. What a nice way to finish our morning.
